Je suis là

Je suis là is a piece directed by Murielle Bechame and produced by Théâtre Am Stram Gram (Geneva), within the framework of Tapis Rouge, a cultural integration program for young people in Geneva.

Presented in November 2024 as part of Agora – Les droits des enfants, Je suis là gives voice to a diverse cast of children and teenagers, many of whom are recent arrivals in Switzerland. The piece confronts questions of identity, visibility, and the right to speak, drawing on personal testimonies, poetry, and live performance.

The piece follows Où êtes-vous?, the first theatrical creation from the Tapis Rouge initiative, and furthers its mission of using art as a space of welcome and recognition for young people with lived experiences of migration and displacement.
