Under marken

2021 | Sound Artist, Co-Creator | Exhibition

I collaborated with artist Helena Wikström and writer Andrea Lundgren on Under marken, a multidisciplinary installation presented at Galleri Syster as part of their SamArtBete project series.

We built a sort of subterranean world of interconnected chambers filled with sculpture, video, text, and layered soundscapes. The work evoked a complex underground network of memory, instinct, and transformation, where multiple voices whispered, sang, or echoed through sculpted roots and shifting walls.

My role focused on the creation of the sound environment. A polyphonic audio layer that blended composed elements, field recordings, voice, and ambient textures. The sound was woven throughout the space as both a narrative and sculptural element, contributing to the piece’s dreamlike, immersive quality.

Built collaboratively from scratch, the installation played with themes of collective identity, buried memory, and the fragile boundary between the natural and human-made. It invited visitors to wander, discover, and interpret freely—some rooms hidden, others overgrown, and some accessible only by sound.
